Important game to mention about took place in Ahuachapan. Second rankedSalvadorenas (4-1) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Ahuachapan (2-3) 69-66 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ahuachapan. They outrebounded Ahuachapan 49-30 including 35 on the defensive glass. Center Silvia Vega (176-2003) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Gabriela Alfaro (167-2004) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Salvadorenas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Dominican Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) answered with 36 points (!!!) and 5 steals and Monica Aristondo (163-1992) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ahuachapan. Salvadorenas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They used an opportunity after San Salvador lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Ahuachapan at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Santa Ana.
